On the second day of the visit, on April 3rd 2019, the representatives of the Council for the advancement and oversight of the audit of the Republic of North Macedonia, composed of Premim Iseni – President of the Council, Dafina Taleva Hadzi Vaskova – coordinator of the working service, Svetlana Gjorgjievska – associate and Dr. Darko Blazevski – member of the Council visited the audit firm Ernst & Jang – certified auditors DOO Skopje. Certified auditors, Vladimir Sokolovski and Danica Gancheva gave their insights regarding the precise definition of certain legal solutions in the Audit Law. In particular, the need for grading of disciplinary measures for audit companies in the Audit Law was emphasized, as well as a clear definition of Public Interest Entities, cooperation with educational institutions, etc. It was also emphasized that they are concerned about the reduced interest among young people in the audit profession. Representatives of the Council for the advancement and oversight of the audit of the Republic of North Macedonia stressed that they are making efforts to advance and promote the profession, which will increase the interest in the labor market for the selection of this profession.
