The Council for advancement and oversight of the audit of the Republic of North Macedonia, in accordance with the Annual Work Program for 2019 started the visits of the audit firms and certified auditors – sole proprietors. The purpose of the visits is for the Council directly and closely to familiarize with the problems and challenges that he audit firms face in their day-to-day operations.
On April 2nd, 2019, Premtim Iseni, President of the Council, Dafina Taleva Hadzi Vaskova – Coordinator of Working Service of the Council, Svetlana Gjorgjievska – Associate, and Balgoj Hristov, Member of the Council visited the Audit Company – PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).
At the work meeting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), the certified auditors Dragan Davitkov and Ljube Gjorgjievski gave a brief review of the history and development of the audit firm. They emphasized their advantages, as well as the way of strengthening the capacities of the employees through comprehensive support and investment in their knowledge. They also highlighted the weakness they face at work, with concrete proposals to overcome them. They emphasized that is of particular importance the need for undertaking further activates in the direction of coordination and joint action of the regulatory bodies that regulate audit, such as the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Insurance Supervision Agency, the Security Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia and other regulators. With its staff and the potentials of the employees in the firm, they expressed preparedness for further cooperation and selfless assistance in advancing the profession.
