On April 8th 2019 (Monday) in the premises of the Council for the Advancement and Oversight of the Audit of the Republic of North Macedonia, the President of the Council, Premtim Iseni, held a working meeting with representatives of the EU Delegation – Office Skopje.
At the meeting, besides the President of the Council, were attended by Freek Janmaat, Head of Section for Economic issues, Institution-Building, Cross-Border Cooperation and Konstantin Jovanovski – Program officer in the operational sector, representatives from the EU Delegation – Office Skopje, and Ilija Andovski, Aneta Trajanoska, Nikolaki Miov and Blagoj Hristov, members of the Council, and Vlado Mitev, associate for international cooperation and development in the Council’s working service.
The President of the Council introduced the representatives of the EU Delegation – Office Skopje with the role and importance of the Council as an autonomous and independent regulatory body, with public authorizations as defined in the Audit Law. The representatives were also acquainted with the activities of the new Council.
The members of the Council informed the representatives of the EU Delegation – Office Skopje on the draft project on the topic “Further enforcing the EU Audit Regulation and Directive in the Republic of North Macedonia”.
Ways and possibilities for implementation of the Project were discussed.
Representatives of the Council and the EU delegation agreed on another meeting to finalize the Project.
