The President of the Council for the Advancement and Oversight of the Audit of the Republic of Macedonia, Premim Iseni and the Coordinator of the Professional Working Service of the Council, Dafina Taleva Hadzi-Vaskova held a working meeting with representatives of audit companies – representatives of professional audit networks.
The meeting was attended by: Antonio Veljanov from Moore Stephens Macedonia, Ruzica Filipcheva from Grant Thornton Macedonia, Dimitar Andonovski from Audit Macedonia LLC, Ljubica Ioanidis from Baker Tilly Joanidis and Dragan Dimitrov from BDO Macedonia.
The representatives of the audit companies welcomed the Council’s new way of working, the openness for cooperation with the legal entities performing audit work, and the transparency of the work of the Council.
Specific proposals and opinions were also presented for the advancement and development of the audit profession and a number of issues were raised that in the future should be shared by practitioners and the Council as a regulator to resolve them.
At the meeting a special emphasis was given by the President of the Council to the need to present the expectations of the Council in order to overcome the problems they face in their work.
